Students & Staff

EBS currently has 45 students. They come from all over Haiti, with many different backgrounds, dreams and vocations.
Some students are in their 20's, and some are in their 50's.
They live on campus and some off campus, and some have churches, jobs, wives, children, choirs, missions and community development projects.

But they all have one thing in common:
when they graduate, they believe that God will take them back to their people. They believe God will use them to make a change in this world...to make a change in Haiti.

Our staff is even more diversified than our student body.  Full-time staff and professors come to EBS from across Haiti, the United States and Canada, and several are graduates of Emmaus!

Courses are taught in Creole, French and English (with translation), and vary from Apologetics, Theology, languages, Music, Discipleship, Leadership, and Haitian Religions to Old and New Testament studies.

Visiting professors from around the globe also visit EBS for two week modules, teaching a wide variety of courses and experiencing ministry in a new culture.

Testimonies

"The Seminary has changed a lot of things in my life.  It makes me know I need to please God more than I need to please people.

It has also helped me share God with my family.  I am learning about Preaching, working with youth, music and Evangelism.  We count on your help to aid us in ministry throughout Haiti!  --Senat Enick, 4th year student

"I feel called to help free Haiti from the bind of Satan and to see it come to Christ.  If I did door to door evangelism, or outdoor preaching, I could tell people about Christ, but would not have the opportunity to build discipling relationships with them.  With about 25 men and women graduating from EBS each year, I have the opportunity to live and teach along side of them, and then they go throughout Haiti spreading the good news.  EBS helps me to participate in the transformation of ALL of Haiti!  "

--Lucner Pierre, Professor

"Coming to the Seminary has been on my heart for a long time.
I feel that I need to receive the Word of God more in order to be able to better share it with other people who live far away from God."

 --Luma Herve, 2nd year student

"Something that is so unique about EBS is that not only are we a training institute for pastors and evangelists,  but we are also able to live life alongside of these men and women.  There are constant opportunities for discipleship, ministry, and involvement in what God is doing here in Haiti!  People across Haiti are not only becoming saved, but now have the opportunity to be discipled and to walk with the Lord!"

--Matt Ayars, Professor
